Imagine
you or your girlfriend's period being late, every day you think it will arrive and it doesnt.
Imagine doing a pregnancy test and it being positive. Many young people find
themselves in this position - they didnt mean to get pregnant. In this crisis situation there are 3 options;
1.
keep the baby
2.
have the baby adopted
3.
have an abortion
None
of these options are
easy!
Keeping the baby will result in a complete change of
lifestyle and can be very difficult financially and emotionally especially if
the woman is raising the child alone.
Adoption is often the best option for the
child but it can be difficult and painful for the mother. You can make an
"adoption plan" nowadays and your wishes for your babies future are
taken into consideration as much as possible.
Abortion is sometimes viewed as the easiest way out but unfortunately there is no way of turning the
clock back and abortion can have serious effects both physically and emotionally for years to come.
