She lost her virginity when she was 14 but says she wishes she had waited
longer and urges the Government to ask girls like her to help with their
campaign.
Carrie-Ann
says: "I was 14 when I lost my virginity. He was 15, my first
proper boyfriend, and lived on the same road as me.
"We
went out together for 3 months before we slept together. We didn't
ever talk about having sex - we were in my bedroom one day and it just
happened. We didn't use any contraception. We just didn't
think about that then.
"I
did have a few sex education lessons at school were they taught us how to
put a condom on but that wasn't until I was 15.
"I
felt really dirty afterwards but i was glad I wasn't a virgin any
more. It wasn't cool to be a virgin while I was at school. You
would get called frigid.
"I
slept with him one more time after that and then we broke up.
"He
told everyone we'd had sex."
Last
July, Carrie-Ann gave birth to Jordan.
He
is the product of another 3 month relationship with a 16 year old boy who
she no longer has any contact with.
She
says: "Jordan's Dad sometimes used a condom but we never thought
about the consequences.
"I've
heard about what the Government are doing but I wouldn't pay any attention
to any sort of advertising.
"It
would be better to let young girls like me, who are teenage mums, talk to
other girls.
She
says: "I would have waited a lot longer to lose my virginity and have
a baby if I'd have known what being a mum is really like.
"The
hardest thing is when Jordan is crying and I don't know what's wrong with
him or how to shut him up."
